Sample Size

Sample size in absolute numbers are presented respectively for school, classroom, and student level. Besides, you will find some information on the actual number of parental and teacher interviews that were also cunducted during the first wave of the study.

Wave 2

Sample Size

This table shows you the absolute number of the student panelists in the second wave. If feasible, we tried to interview the students again in their school context. This was possible for all respondents in the Swedish case and for most respondents from England and the Netherlands.

Students that could not be interviewed in school, were individually followed-up and interviewed via phone, mail or web. Numbers of this group are thus labeled in the second column as "outside" of school.

This group is very large in the German context due to some specificities of the German educational system: schools of the lower secondary track usually do not offer a 10th grade.
